Specialty estimates are starting ranges based on length and package, not a locked total. Surface condition is the biggest cost driver on an RV or a boat, and oxidation, chalking, mildew, and heavy staining are impossible to judge from a form. We confirm your exact price in writing after we see the craft, before any work begins.

Oxidation is where the money goes, so we will tell you the truth about it

A wash and wax on a boat or an RV is straightforward work at a predictable price. Correcting oxidized gelcoat is not. Once fiberglass has chalked, the finish has to be cut back with a compound and then refined, and how many passes that takes depends entirely on how far the surface has gone. Nobody can price that from a photo of the lake side of the hull.

So we do two things. We publish the per-foot rate for the correction tier up front, rather than hiding it behind a call. And when we see the craft, we tell you plainly whether correction will actually pay off, or whether a wax is the honest answer for another season. If a hull is past the point where compounding will bring it back, we say so instead of selling you a job that ends in disappointment.

The same applies inside. Mildew that has gone into vinyl seams, or an RV that has sat closed through a Texas summer, is a different job from a normal interior. We quote that before we start, never on arrival, and never mid-job.

How an on-site specialty detail actually runs

Big craft are not driveway cars. Here is exactly what happens, so nothing about the day surprises you.

  1. 1

    Send us the basics

Length, what it is, and where it sits. Photos of the worst area help a lot. We come back with a written range, usually within the hour.

  2. 2

    We confirm the site

Storage lot, driveway, marina, or slip. We check access, space to work around the craft, and any facility rules before we commit to a date.

  3. 3

    Walkaround and written price

On arrival we walk the craft with you, show you the condition up close, and confirm the exact price in writing. Work starts only after you agree.

  4. 4

    Detail, photograph, and check

We work panel by panel with our own water and power. You get before-and-after photos, and a walkaround before we pack up.

Where we work

Marine and RV customers search by lake and by storage lot, not by city. We route to both.

  • Lake Lewisville
  • Lake Grapevine
  • Lake Ray Hubbard
  • Lake Texoma
  • Eagle Mountain Lake
  • Lake Ray Roberts
  • Joe Pool Lake
  • Lavon Lake

We come to covered and open RV and boat storage across Frisco, Prosper, Little Elm, Celina, McKinney, Denton, Grapevine, and the wider Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Driveway service works too, as long as there is room to walk the full length of the craft.

In-slip and on-water work is available on the lakes above and carries a per-foot access charge, since it takes extra setup and containment to do it properly without putting anything in the water.

Outside that footprint, tell us where it sits. If it is a long haul we will say so and quote the travel before you book, not after.

RV, boat and jet ski questions

  • Yes. Pegazos Detailing details RVs and motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth wheels, boats, jet skis, motorcycles, and side-by-sides across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. We come to your driveway, your storage lot, or your slip, and we bring our own water and power. RV work starts at $189, boats at $149, jet skis at $129, and motorcycles at $109.

  • Pegazos prices RV exterior work per foot on top of a base that covers arriving self-sufficient. An RV Wash & Rinse is $85 plus $5 per foot, so a 32 foot rig starts around $245. An RV Wash & Wax, which adds black-streak removal, a light machine polish, and a UV wax, is $240 plus $15 per foot, about $720 on that same 32 foot rig. Full restoration is $400 plus $24 per foot. Interiors are a flat rate by rig class, from $249 for a Class B camper van to $449 for a Class A motorhome. Every number is a starting estimate confirmed in writing after we see the rig.

  • Boat detailing at Pegazos is priced per foot of length overall plus a base. A Boat Wash & Vac is $75 plus $5 per foot, so a 22 foot bowrider starts around $185. Our most-booked Deluxe Boat Detail, which adds a hand-applied marine wax, vinyl work, and a full interior, is $180 plus $16 per foot, about $530 at 22 feet. Gelcoat Restoration, the multi-stage compound and polish for hulls, is $350 plus $28 per foot. Heavy oxidation or adds $14 per foot, and in-slip service adds $5 per foot.

  • Jet ski and PWC detailing is a flat rate, because length is not what drives the work. A PWC Wash & Protect is $129, a PWC Deluxe Detail with hand wax and a full interior clean is $199, and a PWC Gelcoat Restoration with compound, polish, and a ceramic is $349. Bringing more than one ski to the same visit takes $25 off each additional ski, up to four. A trailer detail adds $69.

  • Because surface condition, not size, is the biggest cost driver on an RV or a boat, and it cannot be judged from a web form. A well-kept 24 foot hull and a chalked, 24 foot hull are two completely different jobs at two completely different prices. Pegazos publishes the per-foot rate up front so you can estimate the range yourself, then confirms your exact price in writing after we walk the craft with you, before any work begins. We never change a price mid-job.

  • Either works. Pegazos details boats on the trailer at your home or storage lot, and in the slip on Lake Lewisville, Lake Grapevine, Lake Ray Hubbard, Lake Texoma, Eagle Mountain Lake, Lake Ray Roberts, Joe Pool Lake, and Lavon Lake. In-slip and on-water service adds $5 per foot, which covers the extra setup and containment needed to work over water properly.

  • Usually, yes. gelcoat is cut back with a compound and then refined with a polish, which restores real gloss rather than hiding the fade under a wax. Pegazos charges $350 plus $28 per foot for boat Gelcoat Restoration and $400 plus $24 per foot for RV Oxidation Restoration, with a ceramic to hold the result. If a surface has gone too far for compounding to bring back, we tell you that before you spend the money instead of selling you a job that ends in disappointment.

  • An RV wash runs 2 to 4 hours and a wash and wax 5 to 8 hours. A boat wash and vacuum takes 1.5 to 3 hours, and our Deluxe Boat Detail 4 to 7 hours. Jet skis run 1 to 3 hours depending on the package. Full restoration on an RV or a boat is a 1 to 3 day job, and we agree the schedule with you in advance. Pegazos gives you a realistic window at booking rather than an optimistic one.

  • No. Pegazos arrives self-sufficient with filtered water and generator power, which is exactly why we can work a storage lot or a boat ramp where there is no hookup. All we need is enough safe space to walk the full length of the craft and work around it. We confirm site access and any facility rules before the appointment.

  • Yes. Pegazos details motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and side-by-sides at a flat rate: $109 for a Wash & Protect, $209 for a Full Powersports Detail with engine degrease and hand wax, and $349 for a Show Detail with machine polish, full chrome restoration, and a ceramic . We hand wash rather than pressure wash around bearings and electronics, and we force-air dry so no water sits in a trap.
